Roberta had the most beautiful, slightly wavy long hair and she only needed a few minutes to have her hair styled on set. Roberta also had a lovely smile and was very sweet and friendly. We loved working with her!

We loved working with Shay as she is a great model. Shay was super nice and had the most beautiful, rich skin tone. We recently chatted with Shay and had her answer a few questions so that we could all get to know her a little better.

What outfit/skirt/pair of pants necessitates wearing your RX Undies?
RX Undies are so comfortable and breathable that you can wear them with anything. I like to wear mine with yoga pants and a tee when stretching after a good run.

Our fitness model Melissa, has quickly become one of our biggest fans. After being introduced to RX Undies during our photo shoot, she has recommended them to friends and strangers alike. We recently sat down with Melissa to learn more about her experience with fitness/figure competitions.
RX Undies: You are involved with fitness competitions. Tell us about those.
Melissa: I actually do figure competitions. I’d love to start doing fitness competitions, those are similar to figure competitions, but competitors also perform an acrobatic routine.
What is your workout routine like when preparing for a competition?
Training starts 12-16 weeks in advance of the competition and diet is a huge component. My workout routine consists of doing cardio in the morning, which could be running, biking, or using the elliptical machine. 4 to 5 days per week I’d go back to the gym later in the day for weight training, which could include squats, lunges, chest presses, and ab exercises – I focus each training session on a different body part.
Tell us about what happens at a figure competition
It’s a really fun and thrilling experience. After checking in and getting dressed and doing hair and makeup, you get the chance to talk with other competitors. Shortly before going on stage, you pump some weights to get extra muscle definition. You then get your moment to shine on stage. You go out and do four poses for the judges, smile, and just have fun. Whether you win or not, just knowing that you’ve reached your own personal goal is satisfying.
Do you wear RX Undies to the gym/during your workouts?
Yes! They are so comfy! I wear them under fitted workout gear, like spandex-y pants or shorts. I like that the liner in RX Undies wicks away moisture and keeps me comfortable during a tough workout. I even feel comfortable wearing gray pants knowing that I won’t have to worry about sweat showing through to the lighter colored pants; I know that a lot of women who do heavy workouts at the gym try to avoid lighter colored workout pants, but that isn’t an issue with RX Undies. Lately, I have been wearing RX Undies on my morning run, and it has been HOT in Boston! Luckily, my RX Undies keep me dry and comfortable. I sometimes go to yoga to stretch, and I always wear my RX Undies to class. I also wear them while I’m out with my pups; I walk or play ball with my dogs once or twice a day.
Wow! RX Undies really fit into your fitness lifestyle. Do you wear them with other types of clothing?
I go out dancing a lot and RX Undies are great under form fitting dresses and skirts. I love house music and DJs.
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us Melissa. We appreciate that you actively spread the word about RX Undies!

Lauralee brought a ton of energy and enthusiasm to set. She had that kind of magnetism that made everyone on set stop and watch while she posed. Lately, we’ve seen her all over the pages of Stuff Magazine and The Improper Bostonian; given that Lauralee is in hot demand, we’re glad we jumped on the chance to work with her while we had the opportunity.

We loved working with Anneline because she was stunning in person and had an unexpected South African accent.

Kendra is one of our fabulous RX Undies models. We loved her because despite having a teeny tiny waist, she had a super-cute, shapely butt… perfect for modeling RX Undies! Kendra just moved to NYC to pursue her modeling career, but between go-sees and modeling gigs she took a few minutes to answer some questions so that we could get to know her better.

Since the RX Undies liner is made from organic bamboo, we thought we’d take some time to delve into the amazing properties of this wonderful material.
Physical properties:
Organic bamboo fabric is lightweight and durable; it does not wear out easily (so you should feel free to machine-wash and dry your RX Undies). Bamboo fabric is also wrinkle resistant, which is great if you let your undies sit in the dryer for a while after the buzzer sounds (we are definitely guilty of that). Bamboo is great for people with sensitive skin or who are allergic to other fabrics (like hemp or wool, though neither of those would make a great liner for panties). Bamboo fabric does make a great lining material because it is super soft; it’s cashmere-like in texture. Organic bamboo fabric keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, so it is great year round, no matter the climate in which you reside.
Hygienic properties:
Organic bamboo fabric has some great attributes that promote the health of your lady parts. Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial. We discovered evidence that bamboo socks can help relieve the symptoms of athlete’s foot. Karen Biers, Utah State University Extension Clothing and Textiles Specialist shares findings from a study where, “Fifty individuals suffering from athlete’s foot were asked to wear socks made from the anti-bacterial bamboo. All individuals reported that the burning and itching associated with the condition disappeared within one to two days after the test began. Within two to six days, the blistering and sores characteristic of the condition disappeared and the skin returned to normal.” In additional to this anti-microbial property, bamboo fabric wicks moisture away from the skin keeping you comfortable and dry. Bamboo fabric is porous, so it breathes well and allows for the passage of air to the surface of your skin. Given that bamboo fabric wicks away moisture and is porous, it should be no surprise that it is also odor-resistant.
If you are now thinking that there is no way that organic bamboo fabric could be any more amazing than it is, guess what? It’s sustainable and eco-friendly! Bamboo grows naturally (it does not need to be planted and tended like cotton) and does not need fertilizers and pesticides, or any watering other than what falls from the sky. After it is harvested, bamboo sends up new shoots and does not need to be replanted. While it grows, bamboo takes in greenhouse gases and in turn releases oxygen into the environment. Yay, cleaner air!
